Demeter Cachet for Ayurvedic Kajals from Lakshmi® Ayurvedic Beauty
Wolpertshausen, 1 March 2007 – – Just in time for Vivaness, which took place in conjunction with the leading international BioFach trade fair in Nürnberg in mid-February, the Ayurvedic Kajals produced by Lakshmi® Ayurvedic Beauty were awarded the Demeter Declaration. “I am very proud that our Kajals have now been recognized as Demeter cosmetics”, says Katharina von Nagy, the owner of the natural cosmetics firm. “This is a first in the field of decorative natural cosmetics, as it represents the first bio-certification of a product in this segment.”
Demeter is the trademark for products produced using dynamic, biological methods. Only rigorously controlled natural cosmetics producers are permitted to use the Demeter Declaration. Demeter cosmetics must consist of natural ingredients (which meet Demeter quality standards) which are gentle to the skin and produce minimal environmental side-effects. The Ayurvedic Kajal is also bio-certified by the renowned Ecocert International company.
But Lakshmi® Ayurvedic Beauty is fully in tune with the trend in other areas as well. Under the banner of “Ayurveda meets Bollywood”, the natural cosmetics producer lured visitor to the Vivaness into a very special “Realm of the Senses”. There they were treated to a presentation of the many possible uses of Ayurvedic Kajal, which can be employed as a complete Bollywood-style eye make-up and even as a lipstick.
Katharina von Nagy was especially pleased to receive a visit by “fit for fun TV” moderator Nandini Mitra, who has been a fan of Lakshmi® Ayurvedic Beauty products for some time. She offered valuable tips for day-to-day use of Ayurvedic natural cosmetics. “I think it’s great that these Ayurvedic Kajals now have Demeter certification”, says the German-Indian resident of Hamburg. “That proves that this product, which has been a part of my basic cosmetic inventory for many years, is truly one of the very best.”
